01/28/2010: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
|
Though the rest of world probably has forgotten by now, those who have followed Silent Hill long enough know that there were rumors going around for years about a remake of the original. I scoffed at the idea. You shouldn’t fix what’s not broken.

11/13/2009: The Endless Forest
|
The Endless Forest is sort of gamelike but without any real objectives. You download the setup file, which is free, install, and run it. If you go to the website, you are asked to name your deer and make a password. When you input these into the game, you will see that you now have [...]

11/04/2009: Tale of Tales’ Fatale
|
Sometime last spring I coughed up ten bucks to buy The Path, also by Tale of Tales. I later played The Graveyard and The Endless Forest, as well. Tale of Tales’ work tends to polarize people quite a bit.

10/22/2009: More on SH: Shattered Memories
|
While I like the reasoning behind having the game adjust to the player, this warning comes off as a bit silly.
Various gameplay videos and demo reviews for this game have surfaced, and while I had my qualms at first, I have to say it’s not looking too bad. Hell, parts of it are even looking [...]

10/14/2009: Tale of Tales' The Path
|
Someone told me about this game and I was intrigued. There was apparently no real gameplay, no fighting, no monsters, no puzzles. You play as one of six sisters who have a sick and bedridden grandmother off in the woods. Of course, there are wolves in the woods, so it’s important not to stray from [...]

10/05/2009: Tale of Tales announces Fatale.
|
A month or two ago I reported on Tale of Tales’ independent game The Path, which was based on early versions of the Little Red Riding Hood story. I played it a lot; I also wrote the only plot analysis for it on GameFAQS.com. While keeping a fairy tale look and feel, it was set [...]

05/01/2009: Silent Hill Homecoming Review
|
And here we have a monster that rips off the Lying Figure monsters from SH2, except it shoots smoke instead of acid. Lame.
This is an overgrown emo kid who likes to cut himself and play with dolls.
Some of the dolls he plays with cut him. Wouldn’t you?
Pushing cabinets: a favorite pastime in Silent Hill.
Polaroids! They’re [...]

11/01/2008: Silent Hill: 0rigins
|
This was created by a new team, and I think they did a pretty good job considering the limitations of the medium (portable, small screen, etc.) and the way the story itself was handled. There have been a lot of complaints in the Silent Hill fandom about the new team, which I think are generally [...]

10/22/2008: Silent Hill Homecoming’s Release & Thoughts on the series
|
It’s been nearly a decade since the first installment of Silent Hill first graced our Playstations. It looked great at the time, regardless of what SH-noobs say about the graphics now. For 1999, it was made of pure awesome. I was 18 and just about to graduate high school. The PSX was downstairs and [...]

08/01/2008: Silent Hill: Orphan
|
Can you even have survival horror on a mobile phone? Isn’t that against some kind of law or something? Even so, I had to play it because it was Silent Hill and I’m a shameless fangirl. The entire game takes place within the confines of the Sheppard Orphanage. You start out as Ben, who [...]
