01/28/2010: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Though the rest of world probably has forgotten by now, those who have followed Silent Hill long enough know that there were rumors going around for years about a remake of the original. I scoffed at the idea. You shouldn’t fix what’s not broken.

01/27/2010: Not Without my Handbag
I bought Creature Comforts, an Aardman Animations clay animation collection, and “Not Without my Handbag” was definitely the high point of the video. You just don’t see many good animated zombie films.

01/10/2010: Skjult/Hidden
Kai Koss (Kristoffer Joner) unwittingly ends up in his hometown, which he ran away from nearly two decades earlier. We see flashback sequences of his family, including a psychotic mother nearly drowing a child, and then Kai is led to see a corpse. It’s the same woman, his mother.

01/05/2010: Bone Fragments – Dark Amusement
Starting out with a keyboard intro track, Dark Amusement is a concept album which tells the story of Jollybean, a clown. Don’t let that scare you away though. The themes are used more for a creepy atmosphere than as a gimmick.

11/20/2009: H.H. Holmes: America’s First Serial Killer
Holmes is best known for his “murder castle,” where he rented rooms during the Chicago World’s Fair. There were greased chutes for bodies, acid vats, torture instruments, and sealed rooms where he could turn on a gas pipe to suffocate people. The extent of his crimes isn’t known for certain, since he was also an accomplished con man and liar.

11/16/2009: Bathory
Running a bit more than two hours and divided into three segments, Bathory was one of the highest-budget Central European productions ever. Where one might be expecting a salacious tale of bathing in blood and lesbianism, this actually negates the whole legend of Erzabet Bathory.

11/13/2009: The Endless Forest
The Endless Forest is sort of gamelike but without any real objectives. You download the setup file, which is free, install, and run it. If you go to the website, you are asked to name your deer and make a password. When you input these into the game, you will see that you now have [...]

11/11/2009: Clash of the Titans Remake
Just when you thought they couldn’t possibly rape childhood memories anymore. Then this turd burger comes sliding down the poop pike. Do we REALLY need a remake of Clash of the Titans? I mean REALLY NEED it?

11/10/2009: Jennifer’s Body
id you ever watch one of those movies that going into it all you can think is “man this is going to suck, why am I doing this to myself” but then you watch it and shortly find yourself enjoying it? Well that was me and Jennifer’s Body. I went fully in expecting a crappy movie about stupid stuff, and found a rather amusing movie that offers a really unique perspective on the friendships between hot girls and plain girls.
